Like you I don't generally do NY resolutions but strangely mine is exacly the same. I'm not materialistic but working from home I get easily distracted by casinos so I'm implementing the second stage of my "cutting down on gambling" plan :) I closed most of my accounts in 2008 and I'm closing all bar 2 of the others - the two where I have responsible gambling limits set ;) Stage 1 worked well, so stage 2 should finish the job.
Also, because I neglected a few of my sites in 2008, I intend writing more content on a more regular basis, although I haven't decided the structure of that resolution yet!

I found setting myself a plan and sticking to it works good since I don't work outside of the house. Fixing up your sites is a great plan that is what I do now just focus on work and I find out that I just don't have the time to gamble anymore.

Mine are usually:-
1. Lose some weight.
2. Stop wasting money on fruit machines.
3. Win more from online casinos.

I do have the same 'problem' that when at home in front of the PC I do spend more time gambling than updating, but I can't really cut down because it's all essential research for my websites!

LOL. Well as an aside, my accountant tells me that you can offset "research" money against taxes as long as it's "within reason" :)
