...and when I say $6K - that's the top prize, not the total pot! :D
1st Place - $6,000 plus official ASOP new and improved bracelet
2nd Place - $3,000
3rd Place - $1,750
4th Place - $1,250
5th Place - $750
6th Place - $500
7th Place - $250
This event is totally free to anyone who is an online gaming affiliate, and has a limited entry. (I'm not sure of the total numbers, but it's definitely less than 60!)
I'm a totally crap poker player (I only play 15-20 times a year, and then it's Omaha H/L, not Texas) but tonight I beat 28 others to win a place in this event!

(Top 3 get into the main event)
Anyone interested & have questions, please post here & I'll tell you more.
Basically you must be an affiliate, must join CAP, must be able to get to London Jan 30th - Feb 1st, and must qualify by finishing in the top 3 of an online game.
There were 10 games. You can play as many as you like. I played 3 & won the latest.

Tonight's story (for you poker buffs!)
I play tighter than a ducks arse - I never raise pre-flop & always assume someone else has the nuts, but I had 2 lucky hands early on (e.g. All in against a guy holding a FH with 3 Queens on the board - I had the other Q! ;) )
Struggled through to the final table, and down to the last 4, small-stacked after the 5th player went all-in on a weak hand & got beat. (I had about 4000 to the others 10000 each). But then I caught another lucky break when someone else got knocked out! After that the remaining 3 didn't give a toss; we we're betting on anything! I caught some more ludicrously lucky hands, finally beating a J hi str8 with a Q high & winning the event!
Come on down!

PS: Sorry Simmo, I posted this here & not in 'Events' as I don't have posting rights there! :(
