View Full Version : Important: vBulletin, Polls and Anonymity

Everyone should note that vBulletin forum software, which is used to drive the Affiliate Business Forum, allows administrators to see who voted in all Polls conducted, even if a Poll is supposedly "anonymous". It's a default feature of the software.
Therefore, if you feel uncomfortable thinking that your vote in a particular Poll can be attributed to you by the administrator, please do not participate in the said poll.

No me neither - I just realised it today while having a good look through the admin side. There's something not quite ethically right about that IMO which is why I thought it best to make it obvious for ABF users.

Is it still possible to "adjust" votes in polls? Used to be but I haven't explored the current versions. That can be used in bad ways, too.

Yes, admins can change the numbers. And there is some logic in that to be fair, although as you say, if you don't trust the admin....:lookaround:
