View Full Version : Proposed Change To Acceptance Of Operators

Hi all

Was thinking about this last night. Have had one or two program managers want to sign up who aren't Accredited at Meister or UK Whitelisted, yet clearly come from good programs. While I have the voting process for those that aren't in the Private Forums, clearly while the forum is young voting is slow.

So I was thinking about opening it up to all program managers who apply for membership, using the strapline under their Username to distinguish who is accrited/whitelisted and who isn't. So you might have something like:

Username
{Program Name} (Not Meister Accredited/Not UK Whitelisted)

or

Username
{Program Name} (Meister Accredited/UK Whitelisted)

That would also assist affiliates quickly in recognising who is accredited/whitelisted of course. But as such, all program reps would have full posting rights to all the forums, although any operator representing a casino or poker room on the Casinomeister Rogue list (http://www.casinomeister.com/rogue/index.php) would not be granted access.

Can I get your thoughts please?

Can't say I particularly like that, though there would be nothing wrong with having some sort of image to indicate that they are Meister-accredited, or UK whitelisted, or both, and no image if they're not accredited/whitelisted.

If the programs are good, then either put them up for a vote, or permit them access yourself but you take responsibility.

I do like it.

I like having access to programs/operators.

Questions can be asked directly. If the program/operator is not present, all we have is long speculative threads and hear-say, and I have always disliked those.

If the program/operator has access, they can answer questions directly. If they don't, that tells us something too.

Perhaps there can be different levels of access?

There are lots of opinions on this, and most people feel quite strongly about their opinion on this issue.

I believe Bryan allows casino reps to sign up and answer freely? It makes a lot of sense to me to do so and adds value to the forum.

Let me clarify:

I don't have any problems with allowing other programs to come onboard, regardless of whether they are accredited or whitelisted or have mooned on Youtube :)

I don't like the bit about having "Not accredited" after the user name. Accredited, yes, or whitelisted, yes. Not a fan of negative words though.

Programs applying to become members should either be voted on, or else you as admin take the responsibility and directly admit them.

Make more sense now? :) (I just had a huge dinner, my brain was in dire need of energy).

For...? ;)

Letting in a program which is not accredited nor whitelisted and subsequently stiffs players or affs :)

Let's keep it simple - put all applicants to the vote...

OK here's another idea. CAP and GPWA give direct access to the affiliate programs to ask questions. How about the people who work there have the option to sign up here "unattached" to their program using any screen name they want, on a more personal level to encourage debate?

I have to agree I don't care for the label thing either. I think we should all vote on it a program is allowed to enter plain and simple.

LOL not exactly. They would be flagged as "Industry" or something similar.
