View Full Version : The $/£ Exchange Rate!

I just did a re-calculation of my last months commissions based on the exchange rate at the end of the month as opposed to the start and it was pleasantly surprising. At the moment it's good for me to be earning from $ players as when it gets converted to £ it's well up on this time last year. Not so good for Americans earning from £ players though I guess :(
Anyway, I mention it because some affiliate programs offer to convert your commissions for you at current exchange rates before they transfer the money to you. It's worth doing this right now if you can - you can save hundreds if you take in bank wires, cheques or Neteller payments in your local currency.
Cheers

PS. Anyone tried Forex trading? Just been giving it a bash (unsuccessfully!)

Sheesh - the £ is at a 6-year low against the dollar! Good for me, but not good for the economy. Although now the USA has introduced this 72hr electronic visa (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7822794.stm) for entry to the country from the UK, perhaps it matters less for a lot of people :D
Actually I think the affiliate programs should start working in Euros now that it's pretty much £1 for €1 !

No it's not! Who told you that?
Today's rate is 1.5144 $/£ - On Jan-3rd it dipped to 1.4474
It's going back up - and fast!
It has been good for us affiliates though - we (in the UK) are getting 31% more income from our $ accounts than we were 6-months ago, just from the change in rate.

Climb, baby, climb! :D Hopefully £1,000 will equal $2,000 again within a few months. :)

Nooo....drop, baby drop! Unless I decide to come to Vegas this year which is likely, in which case, climb, baby climb, then drop!
